Providenciales, TCI — Police have launched an investigation after a woman was shot in the Long Bay area of Providenciales on Wednesday morning, raising new concerns about violent crime in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
What Happened
At around 7:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire on Tower Drive in Long Bay. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. She was immediately taken to hospital, where doctors are monitoring her condition.
